New Zealand Birds Matching Puzzle Set
These simple two-piece puzzles feature beautiful vibrant images of New Zealand Birds, as well as their name. They are a great introduction for young children to a variety of birds, some of which they might already be familiar with, as they can be found in or around our neighborhoods and towns.
Recommended age 3+. Includes 18 wooden pieces, each approx. 11.5 x 5.5cm. Made with 3mm sustainable plywood and comes in a linen drawstring bag.
Every piece of wood used is slightly different in colour, texture and grain with naturally occurring imperfections seen in the timber (e.g. knots, colour changes, etc.). These pieces of timber are cut on an engraver and will have slight burnt marks on the edges on some sides. The best way to keep these raw timber resources hydrated and well-nourished is with a natural oil or wax, like beeswax polish.

Use the puzzle piece to draw a particular bird that the child might like, whilst discussing all the elements to draw him. Also perfect for learning the correct names of the birds in the puzzle as well as spelling, sounding out words and letters.
